One of the main reasons we wanted to visit Toronto this time of year was for the famous Christmas Market. The market runs from November 16th thru December 23rd.
The market is located in Toronto’s Distillery District. This area is charming, with cobbled streets and old brick distilleries transformed into amazing shops and restaurants.
The market has look and feel of a traditional European market, with carolers, mulled wine, hand crafted decorations and of course amazing food.The entire Distillery District is transformed with festive booths, lights, decorations, a Ferris wheel and carousel. There is a beer garden with outside heaters and tables to stand at while enjoying your beverage of choice. The focal point of the market is the giant Christmas tree that is beautifully lit up and decorated.If you ever get the chance to visit Toronto during the holiday season, the market it is a must!
